- Designated Areas eg. First Aid Station, Bar/Pub, Restuarant/Eatery, Parking Bay, Petrol Station
- Directional Arrows
- Objects eg. Telephone Booth, Esculator, Rubbish Bin
Symbol which are encircled with a line through them represent "NO" eg. No Parking, No Dogs, Non-Smoking etc.
Two or more symbols can often be combined together to further describe or explain eg. Female Only Beauty Salon, Stairs (Up only), Shared Traffic (Cars AND Buses) etc.
Symbols can be made for absolutely anything, even those things most would consider self explanatory!
